With your wedding gift, we will revel in the excitement of climbing Gros Piton covered with thick tropical vegetation, rising 2,461 feet out of the sparkling cobalt blue waters of the Caribbean waters. After our long and hot half-day hike up the giant lava formation, we will be anticipating our arrival back to Anse Chastanet to enjoy the coldest beverage in town! What an exhilarating experience!

As we enter the remains of the volcanic crater we will see the suphuric springs bubbling up from the volcanic lake. For the day we will discover Martinique Island, a little slice of France set down in the tropics. Also known as the Isle of Flowers, with its natural tropical floral, we will see wild frangipani, orchids, hibiscus and neon-bright bougainvillea. As we venture to the very stylish and sophisticated little villages of the French speaking island we will stop for a sumptuous lunch at one of the cafes along the beach. Then it's back to the hotel and a nice cold refreshing beverage!

We'll take a joyride along St. Lucia's northeast coast along the lush and beautiful countryside. Our plantation destination is located just outside of Castries, framed with tropical lush jungle and beautiful exotic island flora. We will learn about the export crops, bananas and copra crops, and the history of what used to be a coffee and cocoa plantation. On our way back, we will visit an old sugar mill, take a cruise upon a boat down the Marquis River, and stop by the Plantation House for a romantic picnic lunch!

As we sail the pristine waters of St. Lucia's coast, we will stop in Castries to pick up some souvenirs to take home with us from our Caribbean honeymoon. We can either browse the open market with handmade pottery, clay coal pots, shell jewelry, St Lucian Rum, hot pepper sauces, island spices, passion fruit, papayas, mangos, greens and herbs, and other exotic fruits, or we could browse the mall with shops such as Little Switzerland, The Beach Shop, Columbian Emeralds and Diamonds in Paradise.
